Azeri special forces soldier identified among 'eco-activists' blocking Lachin corridor
Veterans of the Azerbaijani army’s special forces unit have joined the “eco-activists” who have been blocking the Lachin corridor, the sole road linking Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to Armenia, near the town of Shushi since December 12.
Alen Ghulyan, an Artsakh Armenian, has identified one of them as Warrant Officer Afiedin Aliyev. He has also shared the officer’s photo with Azerbaijani war criminal Elnur Farzaliyev who brutally killed an Armenian soldier during the April 2016 war in Artsakh.
“For those who don't know, Farzaliyev is a war criminal who beheaded Hero of Artsakh Kyaram Sloyan in April 2016,” Ghulyan wrote on Facebook on Monday.
The Azerbaijani blockade has affected 120,000 Artsakh Armenians, including 30,000 children, who are without access to food, medical supplies and other essential goods.
