CSTO chief offers condolences to Armenia on tragic death of servicemen
The Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Imangali Tasmagambetov, on Thursday expressed his condolences to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the tragic death of 15 servicemen who were killed in a military barracks fire last night.
“On behalf of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and myself, I express sincere condolences on the death of 15 servicemen of the Armenian Armed Forces as a result of a fire in a military unit in Gegharkunik Province on January 19,” he said in a statement.
“We were deeply saddened to learn about the tragic death of the soldiers. We share the grief of the irretrievable loss of the victims’ families and friends and offer our words of support for them at this difficult moment. We wish a speedy recovery to all the injured,” the CSTO chief added.
