Parents of fallen soldiers protest outside Armenian Investigative Committee
A group of parents and other relatives of Armenian servicemen killed in the 2020 Artsakh war on Thursday held a protest outside the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
The police used force to disperse the protest staged by them in the Yerablur Military Pantheon in Yerevan on September 21, 2022. The parents were dragged away, forced into police vehicles and detained.
A criminal case has been launched into the incident, however the parents complain about the slow pace of the investigation. No one has been arrested as part of the criminal probe to date.
The protesters are today set to face off police officers who are accused of using excessive force against them.
They held a similar protest outside the law enforcement agency on January 20.
