Argentina concerned about humanitarian situation in Lachin Corridor
Argentina expressed its concern about the humanitarian situation in the Lachin Corridor, the sole road connecting Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to Armenia blocked by Azerbaijan for over 40 days now.
“Argentina expressed its concern about the humanitarian situation in the Lachin Corridor and pointed out the need to guarantee the freedom of movement & the human rights of the populations,” the Embassy of Argentina in Armenia tweeted on Friday.
“Argentina stresses the protection of human rights and peaceful settlement of disputes,” the embassy added.
Large groups of Azerbaijanis posing as eco-activists have blocked the Lachin Corridor since 12 December to protest what they claim is illegal mining operation in Artsakh.
