The Tatoyan Foundation issued a message on Armenian Army Day celebrated on January 28. The full message is provided below.

"Today, we must stand with our soldiers and officers more resolutely and firmly than ever before. They defend our independence and security at the cost of their lives and health and deserve respect and admiration.

The army is one of the most cherished achievements of our statehood. It has had a glorious journey of formation. Unfortunately, now it is experiencing ordeals, but we are confident that the ways to overcome these trials will come into view soon.

This day is yet another occasion for us to express our gratitude to all those whose loved ones sacrificed their lives defening our homeland and the future of our children, as well as to wish a speedy recovery to all wounded servicemen.

We must create a state where there will be no need for such feats and sacrifices, and we will be fully prepared, if necessary.

We must make January 28 a joyous holiday again.
