Catholicos Karekin II offers condolences to Iran on deadly quake
Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II has extended condolences to Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on the deadly earthquake in the city of Khoy which has killed at least three and injured hundreds, the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin reported on Monday.
“We were deeply saddened to learn about the devastating earthquake in the Iranian city of Khoy, which resulted in destruction, deaths and injuries. From the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, we offer our condolences and prayerful support to You, the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and all Iranian people,” he said in a message.
Catholicos Karekin II asked for God’s consolation to all mourners and wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
