Ruben Vardanyan meets with Stepanakert residents
State Minister Ruben Vardanyan of the Artsakh Republic on Sunday met with a group of people in the capital Stepanakert to listen to their concerns and proposals to get out of the current difficult situation in Artsakh amid the Azerbaijani blockade.
“After regional meetings, yesterday I had a chance to talk to the residents of Stepanakert,” Vardanyan wrote on Telegram. “I briefed them on the activities of the Operational Headquarters aimed at handling the current situation.”
“I believe that effective feedback and direct dialogue with citizens are of paramount importance both for the authorities and the people of Artsakh in the current extraordinary conditions,” the first minister stated.
Large groups of Azerbaijanis posing as eco-activists have blocked the Lachin Corridor, the sole road connecting Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to Armenia since 12 December to protest what they claim is illegal mining operation in Artsakh.
