Drivers warned over snow and ice in parts of Armenia
Some roads are closed in Armenia as of Tuesday morning, the Rescue Service reports.
In particular, the roads linking the Amberd high mountain meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari in Aragatsotn Province are shut down.
Roadways in the Gavar and Ani regions are partly icy.
Snowfall is reported in Armavir and Ararat Provinces, the towns of Jermuk and Yeghegnadzor, as well as the Ashtarak, Aparan and Talin regions.
Fog has taken over the towns of Abovyan, Ashtarak, Goris, as well as the Aparan, Talin and Charentsavan regions.
According to the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center (CMC) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi highway is open to all traffic.
Drivers are strongly urged to use winter tires.
