Armenian parliament opposition holds hearings on Azerbaijan's Artsakh blockade
The main opposition Hayastan faction in the Armenian parliament started hearings on its draft resolution on Azerbaijan's blockade of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) on Friday morning.
MPs from the ruling Civil Contract faction have boycotted the sitting.
Ahead of the debates, Hayastan faction head Seyran Ohanyan asked lawmakers to hold a minute’s silence to pay tribute to all victims of the Artsakh wars.
Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan offered a prayer.
The Lachin Corridor, the only connection between Artsakh and Armenia, has remained blocked by Azerbaijan for nearly two months.
