Armenian, Russian FMs hold phone call
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Friday held a telephone conversation with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan at Armenia’s request, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported.
Mirzoyan warmly congratulated Sergey Lavrov on Diplomat Day marked on February 10. The ministers exchanged views on a number of pressing issues on the bilateral agenda, expressing mutual readiness to strengthen alliance between Moscow and Yerevan, the ministry said in a statement.
They discussed the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.
“The Russian side stressed the importance of swift resumption of the implementation of the 9 November 2020, 11 January, 26 November 2021 and 31 October 2022 top-level trilateral agreements, including the unblocking of all transport and economic links in the region, the delimitation and demarcation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, agreeing on the parameters of a peace treaty between Yerevan and Baku, as well as promoting dialogue between civil society, experts and parliamentarians,” reads the statement.
