Turkish envoy thanks Armenian officials for earthquake aid
Turkey’s special envoy in normalization talks with Armenia, Serdar Kilic, has expressed gratitude to Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan and pro-government MP Ruben Rubinyan, Armenia's special envoy for the dialogue with Turkey, for the earthquake aid to the country.
Armenian trucks carrying humanitarian aid crossed the border to Turkey on Saturday morning, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Vahan Hunanyan said.
“Thank you dear Vahan Kostanyan, thank you dear Ruben Rubinyan for your kind efforts to make this happen,” Kilic said in a tweet.
“I will always remember the generous aid sent by the people of Armenia to help alleviate the sufferings of our people in the earthquake-stricken region in Turkey,” he added.
