Azerbaijan seeks to cause psychological crisis in Artsakh, MP says
Azerbaijan seeks to cause a psychological crisis in Artsakh through its blockade imposed on December 12, says Armenian opposition MP Tigran Abrahamyan.
“Apart from a political, economic and humanitarian crisis, Azerbaijan is trying to stir up a mental crisis in Artsakh,” he wrote on Facebook on Monday.
Cut off from the outside world for two months now, the Artsakh people are struggling with daily shortages of food, medicines and fuel as well as movement restrictions, he stressed.
“In the current situation, the people are quite sensitive to all matters. This, too, can be overcome if there is light at the end of the tunnel,” said Abrahamyan, who represents the opposition Pativ Unem bloc.
“The Artsakh people have to deal with all difficulties alone amid the reckless conduct of the Armenian authorities and insufficient efforts from the international community.
“The people of Artsakh continue to show resilience and refuse to give up, thus mixing up the cards for many. They continue to live on their ancestral land, keeping Artsakh Armenian,” the MP stressed.
