Armenian players to compete at European Individual Chess Championship
Five Armenian chess players are set to compete at the European Individual Chess Championship 2023 to be held in Serbia in March.
The Armenian team members are GMs Gabriel Sargissian, Haik Martirosyan, Robert Hovhannisyan, Manuel Petrosyan and Shant Sargsyan, the National Olympic Committee reported on Tuesday.
Five female chess players, including Elina Danielyan, Lilit Mkrtchyan, Anna Sargsyan, Mariam Mkrtchyan and Susanna Gaboyan, will represent Armenia at the European Individual Women's Chess Championship scheduled for 18-30 March.
The European Individual Chess Championship 2023 is a qualifying event for the FIDE World Cup 2023.
