Azerbaijan again cuts off gas supply to Artsakh
Azerbaijan has again cut off the natural gas supply to Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), Artsakh’s InforCenter reported.
The only pipeline supplying gas from Armenia to Artsakh which passes through Azerbaijani-held territory was again blocked by Baku late on Wednesday, it said in a statement.
“In the coming hours, gas filling stations will be provided with a very limited volume of gas, after which they will also stop working. By opening and then immediately shutting down the gas supply in cold winter weather and at night hours, Azerbaijan aims to create problems and emergencies. Please be alert and follow the safety rules,” reads the statement.
Azerbaijan has repeatedly disrupted Armenia’s gas supplies to Artsakh since December 12, when large groups of Azerbaijanis posing as eco-activists blocked the Lachin Corridor, the sole road connecting Artsakh to Armenia and the outside world.
