Armenian FM arrives in Ankara
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan arrived in Ankara, Turkey, on Wednesday.
He was welcomed by Ambassador Serdar Kilic, Turkey's special envoy for the normalization of relations with Armenia, ARMENPRESS correspondent reported from the Turkish capital.
The Armenian delegation also includes Ruben Rubinyan, a deputy parliament speaker and Armenia’s special envoy for normalization talks with Turkey.
A meeting of Mirzoyan and his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu has gotten underway. The foreign ministers will then deliver press statements, ARMENPRESS said.
The Armenian foreign minister is then scheduled to visit Adiyaman in southeastern Turkey, where an Armenian search and rescue team has been supporting the rescue efforts since February 7.
The earthquake death toll in Turkey exceeds 30,000.
