Italian culture minister visits Armenian Genocide Memorial
The delegation led by Italy’s Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano on Wednesday visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan to pay tribute to the innocent victims of the 1915 genocide.
He was accompanied by Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Alfred Kocharyan, the ministry reported.
Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Harutyun Marutyan presented the history of the creation of the memorial complex to the guests.
The officials toured the Armenian Genocide Museum, where they got acquainted with the permanent and temporary exhibitions.
The Italian delegation also visited the Mesrop Mashtots Matenadaran, National Gallery of Armenia and Garni Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve.
