'The Song of Flying Leaves' to have its world premiere at Kaboom Animation Festival
“The Song of Flying Leaves”, a short animated film by Armine Abrahamyan (pseudonym Armine Anda) and supported by the National Cinema Center of Armenia will have its world premiere at the Kaboom Animation Festival to be held in the Netherlands from 24 March to 2 April.
The film premiere will be held as part of the New Directions competition, the National Cinema Center reports.
The script is co-written by Abrahamyan and famous Ukranian filmmaker Roman Balayan.
The film is about a journey to a dream through a meeting between twelve-year-old Suna, who lives alone in a forest, and sleeps under a blanket of leaves and a two-hundred-year-old man in possession of secret knowledge.
It is a reflection on tender and wise friendship between a father and a daughter, a teacher and a student, an adult and a child, and how when accepting to trust, the impossible can turn into possible.
