Opposition MP: Armenian authorities fail to properly assess external and internal challenges
MP Seyran Ohanyan, the leader of the opposition Hayastan bloc’s parliamentary faction, again accused the Armenian authorities of spoiling the Artsakh peace talks and dragging the county into a war with Azerbaijan in 2020.
“Artsakh has turned into an enclave due to the incumbent leadership’s activities,” Ohanyan, a former defense minister, told a forum in Yerevan on Saturday, also blaming the authorities for “washing their hands off Artsakh.”
“They took no action to ensure Armenia’s success during the war, while the army had all capacities for it,” the MP claimed.
He underscored Armenia is facing bigger security challenges now.
“The current Armenian authorities are unable to correctly assess the military and political situation, security environment, external and internal challenges," the opposition leader said.
