Drivers warned over icy roads in Armenia
Some roads are closed or difficult to pass in Armenia as of Monday morning, the Rescue Service reports.
In particular, the roads linking the Amberd high mountain meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari in Aragatsotn Province are shut down.
The Vardenyats Pass is difficult to pass only for trailer trucks.
Roads in the Aparan and Aragats regions are partly icy.
According to the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center (CMC) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi highway connecting Armenia and Russia via Georgia is open to all traffic.
Drivers are strongly urged to use winter tires.
