
Armenia reports more laboratory confirmed measles cases
The number of laboratory confirmed cases of measles in Armenia reached 20 on Monday morning, according to the Ministry of Health.
18 measles patients are hospitalized, while one person has already recovered, the ministry said in a statement. All patients are in moderate condition.
According to the health authorities, 19 patients are unvaccinated, while one of the patients has received only one dose of the measles vaccine.
Measles vaccinations are recommended for one-year-old children and children aged 4-6 years.
The Ministry of Health urges parents to get their children vaccinated if they have missed their vaccine doses.
Meanwhile, unvaccinated contacts of confirmed cases should also get vaccinated.
