Artsakh denies Azerbaijani accusations of ceasefire breach
Artsakh’s military authorities have denied Azerbaijan’s reports of a ceasefire breach by Armenian forces as “disinformation”.
“The statement released by the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry alleging that the Artsakh Defense Army forces opened fire at the Azerbaijani combat positions located in the occupied territories of the Artsakh Republic’s Shushi region overnight March 5 and 6 is disinformation,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
Three Artsakh police officers were killed and another was severely wounded after an Azerbaijani subversive group ambushed their vehicle near Stepanakert on Sunday.
After killing the police officers, the Azerbaijani troops retreated to their positions, incurring losses.
The killed officers were identified as Lieutenant Armen Babayan, Major David Danielyan and Lieutenant Ararat Gasparyan.
The Artsakh Foreign Ministry called on the international community to take effective measure under international law to stop what it called Azerbaijan’s “terrorist and genocidal policy.”
