Confirmed measles cases rise to 29 in Armenia
The number of laboratory confirmed measles cases in Armenia reached 29 on Tuesday morning, according to the Ministry of Health.
15 measles patients are hospitalized, while 7 people have already recovered and discharged from hospital, the ministry said in a statement. All patients are in moderate condition.
Measles vaccinations are recommended for one-year-old children and children aged 4-6.
The Ministry of Health urges parents to get their children vaccinated if they have missed their vaccine doses.
Meanwhile, unvaccinated contacts of confirmed cases should also get vaccinated.
