39 measles cases confirmed in Armenia
The number of laboratory confirmed measles cases in Armenia reached 39 on Wednesday morning, according to the health authorities.
18 measles patients are hospitalized, and two of them are in serious condition, the Ministry of Health said in a statement.
36 infected people were not vaccinated, while 3 have received only one dose of the measles vaccine.
Measles vaccinations are recommended for one-year-old children and children aged 4-6.
The health authorities urge parents to get their children vaccinated if they have missed out on their vaccine doses.
Meanwhile, unvaccinated contacts of confirmed cases should also get vaccinated.
