Snowfall reported in parts of Armenia
Some roads are closed to traffic in Armenia as of Thursday morning, the Rescue Service reports.
In particular, the roads linking the Amberd high mountain meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari in Aragatsotn Province remain closed.
Snowfall is reported in the town of Kajaran, the “Meghru Sar” road section as well as the Aghvani-Tatev highway.
According to the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center (CMC) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi highway connecting Armenia and Russia via Georgia is closed to trucks.
Drivers are urged to use exclusively winter tires.
