Measles cases continue to rise in Armenia
The total number of laboratory confirmed measles cases in Armenia rose to 46 on Friday morning, according to the health authorities.
15 patients have been hospitalized so far and are in a moderate condition, the Ministry of Health said in a statement.
43 infected people were not vaccinated, while 3 have received only one dose of a measles vaccine.
Measles vaccinations are recommended for one-year-old children and children aged 4 to 6 years.
The health authorities urge parents to get their children vaccinated if they have missed out on the immunization schedule.
Meanwhile, unvaccinated contacts of confirmed cases should also get vaccinated.
