Armenia's Brunette to release her Eurovision entry on March 15
The title of Brunette’s upcoming song that she will represent Armenia with at the Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool has been revealed. Brunette will sing “Future Lover” at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, Eurovoix reports.
The premiere of the song will take place on March 15. Brunette was already announced as Armenia’s entry to the contest earlier in February.
"I’ve spent all these months creating something that truly reflects who I am as an artist and as a human. I hope this song touches your hearts just as it did mine," she said in an Instagram post on Friday.
Brunette is an up-and-coming singer who in 2022 had a hit with “Bac kapuyt achqerd” which has been watched nearly 5 million times on YouTube.
Armenia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 and has participated every year since, excluding 2012 and 2021. Armenia’s best results came in 2008 and 2014 when they finished 4th in the final. They have failed to qualify for the final on three occasions. The first time was in 2011 when Emmy finished in 12th with “Boom Boom”, she was 1 point away from qualifying for the final. In 2019, Srbuk finished 16th in her semi-final with “Walking Out”, bringing Armenia their worst result to date in the contest.
