Pashinyan, Putin hold phone call
Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday held a telephone conversation with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at Armenia’s initiative, the Kremlin reported.
“They discussed practical aspects of the implementation of the entire set of agreements between the Russian, Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders in 2020-2022, including measures to ensure stability and security on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the restoration of economic and transport links in the region and the preparation of an Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty,” it said in a readout.
“Addressing the current situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, Vladimir Putin stressed the need to resolve all emerging issues in a constructive manner, in close contact and cooperation between the parties and Russian peacekeepers,” the Kremlin added.
