Measles cases reach 50 in Armenia
The total number of laboratory confirmed measles cases in Armenia rose to 50 on Monday morning, according to the health authorities.
Three measles patients are currently hospitalized and are in a moderate condition, the Ministry of Health said in a statement.
44 infected people were not vaccinated, while 4 of them have received only one dose of a measles vaccine.
Measles vaccinations are recommended for one-year-old children and children aged 4 to 6 years.
The health authorities urge parents to get their children vaccinated if they have missed out on the immunization schedule.
Meanwhile, unvaccinated contacts of confirmed cases should also get vaccinated.
