Armenian, Russian FMs to discuss EU mission in Moscow
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov will discuss, among other things, the deployment of the EU monitoring mission to Armenia’s border with Azerbaijan at a meeting in Moscow on March 20, Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan said on Friday.
"We all know that Russia is sensitive about the EU mission, and we are discussing the issue with our partners,” he told a meeting of the parliament’s Eurasian integration committee.
“The Armenian foreign minister is expected to travel to Moscow soon, and the matter will be definitely discussed," the official said.
EU foreign ministers approved the two-year monitoring mission in Armenia in late January.
