Armenian security chief briefs CSTO head on border situation
Secretary of Armenia’s Security Council Armen Grigoryan on Friday hosted Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Imangali Tasmagambetov.
In its readout of the meeting, the Security Council said Grigoryan congratulated Tasmagambetov on his appointment as CSTO head.
They discussed the current situation in the CSTO zone of responsibility. The CSTO chief told his Armenian colleague about the demarcation of the border between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
“Armen Grigoryan briefed about the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The sides also touched upon the Azerbaijani president’s latest statements, noting that they run counter to those made in Prague and Sochi,” reads the statement.
