Georgia's Iru releases her Eurovision entry
Iru has released “Echo”, the entry with which she will represent Georgia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool, Eurovoix reports.
“Echo” was written and composed by Giga Kukhiadnidze and Iru herself. Giga has written most of the Georgian Junior Eurovision entries, including all three of their winning entries. Iru also co-wrote “I Believe”, the Georgian entry for Junior Eurovision 2022.
Iru Khechanovi won the right to represent Georgia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool after winning The Voice of Georgia. Iru previously represented Georgia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. In 2011 she won the contest as part of Candy Music in Yerevan. She performed in Junior Eurovision 2022 as part of the medley of previous winners.
With the release of “Echo”, all 37 entries for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 have now been released.
Iru will perform in the second half of the second semi-final on May 11.
