Armenia's crisis management center handles 249 emergencies in one week
The National Center for Crisis Management of Armenia’s Interior Ministry responded to a total of 493 calls from March 13 to 19, of which 249 were emergency cases.
The number included 182 fire calls, 5 cases of poisoning, 3 snake detection cases, 56 road traffic accidents, 4 suicide attempts, as well as 148 household calls, the ministry reported on Monday.
A total of 100 people were affected. 3 citizens were rescued due to emergency responders’ efforts.
The crisis management center reported 9 fatalities last week.
24 vehicles got stuck on the road due to adverse weather conditions or other circumstances. Rescuers rendered assistance to 42 citizens, taking 24 vehicles to a safe place.
