European Chess Championship: Anna Sargsyan beats Irina Bulmaga
The eight th round of the 23rd European Women Chess Championship was played on Sunday.
Armenian IM Anna Sargsyan defeated her Romanian opponent Irina Bulmaga and, having scored 6 points out of 8, is now in the 5th place, the Armenian Chess Federation said.
Elina Danielian, Mariam Mkrtchyan and Lilit Mkrtchian have scored 5.5 points after eight rounds.
The European Women Chess Championship is taking place at the Hotel Palas in Petrovac, Montenegro, on March 17-30. The event features 136 players from 34 federations.
