Artsakh resident calls attention to dropping water levels in Sarsang Reservoir
Alen Ghulyan, an Artsakh resident, has called attention to the plummeting water levels in the Sarsang Reservoir amid Azerbaijan’s blockade, blasting the authorities for the failure to bring up the issue on international platforms.
“The water levels in the Sarsang Reservoir have been dropping for three months due to the criminal activity of the enemy, causing colossal damage to the ecosystem of Artsakh,” he wrote on Facebook on Tuesday, sharing a photo of the reserve.
“Why hasn't this problem been raised on international platforms so far? How many times have you talked about it and spread its images around the world? Who is responsible for it and why should the country suffer every time because of the inaction of someone (or a group of people)?” Ghulyan said, stressing they should be held to account.
The Lachin Corridor, the sole road connecting Artsakh to Armenia, has been blocked by Azerbaijan since December 12 last year.
