Neymar loses $1 million in poker game and gets twitter hacked
Neymar's misfortunes continued even off the pitch, as the Paris Saint-Germain star's Twitter account was hacked and he suffered a big loss while playing poker, Marca reported.
The Brazilian forward is out for the season due to his ankle surgery in March, and is using some of his free time to indulge in his passion for poker.
Despite regularly playing in casinos and online games on his Twitch platform, Neymar's latest poker session didn't go well. According to reports from Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte, he lost 1 million in just an hour, causing him to fake cry and scream while a mock Titanic theme played in the background.
One of his fellow players commented that he went "from a million to zero in 60 minutes", and Neymar responded by jokingly saying he would put it on YouTube.
This isn't the first time the 31-year-old has been seen at a poker table, having even competed in the European Poker Tour where other players believed he could make it as a professional.
Despite his passion for poker, Neymar is no stranger to controversies, as his Twitter account was hacked on the same night he suffered the big loss. Among the messages was a directed profanity towards a Brazilian news outlet, which is uncharacteristic of the usually calm and collected footballer.
