Pashinyan rejects Azerbaijan's false claims about military supplies to Artsakh
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has strongly denied Azerbaijan's false claims about shipments of Armenian military personnel and weapons to Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).
“Reports on military supplies are a propaganda lie aimed at creating legitimacy for a possible escalation," he told a cabinet meeting on Thursday.
The premier underscored that Artsakh has its own Defense Army the “existence of which is explained by Azerbaijan's obvious preparations for the genocide of the Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh.”
“The Lachin Corridor has been blocked for over 100 days now, gas and electricity supplies to Nagorno-Karabakh are suspended, farmers and agricultural equipment in Nagorno-Karabakh repeatedly come under Azerbaijani gunfire. Azerbaijan continues aggressive rhetoric,” Pashinyan stressed.
"We must consistently inform the international community about this and work to launch relevant international mechanisms," he added.
