Azerbaijan again violates ceasefire in Artsakh, fires at farmers
The Azerbaijani military has opened fire at civilians in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) villages in a fresh ceasefire violation, the authorities said.
Senorik Alaverdyan and Gennady Sargsyan, residents of the village of Berdashen in Artsakh’s Martuni region, came under Azerbaijani gunfire while carrying out agricultural work in a vineyard early on Thursday, the Interior Ministry said.
Later on Thursday, Azerbaijani troops fired at six farmers from the village of Taghavard, Artur Firyan, Ararat Allaverdyan, Shura Allaverdyan, Oleg Harutyunyan, Arsen Khachatryan and Novik Gabrielyan, while they were working in a wheat field in the village.
The civilians were unharmed, but the agricultural work had to be suspended.
The Russian peacekeeping forces in Artsakh were told about the Azeri shootings.
