Armenian Defense Ministry reports no major ceasefire violations overnight
The Armenian Defense Ministry recorded no significant ceasefire violations by Azerbaijani forces overnight.
“The situation on the frontline remains relatively stable as of 8am,” it said in a statement on Wednesday, adding Armenia suffered no positional losses as a result of Tuesday's Azerbaijani provocation.
The Defense Ministry said in an earlier statement that Azerbaijani troops deployed near the Armenian village of Tegh, inside Armenian sovereign territory that they seized two weeks ago, opened fire at Armenian soldiers conducting engineering work there late in the afternoon.
Azeri forces also fired mortar rounds at Armenian positions. The Armenian military returned fire.
Four Armenian soldiers were killed and six wounded in the Azerbaijani attack, the ministry said.
“As of now, there is no changes in the health condition of the servicemen wounded in the Azerbaijani provocation on April 11 (three of six servicemen are in stable condition, the other three are in moderate, serious and critical condition),” reads the statement.
