Viktor Mnatsakanyan announces run for Yerevan mayor
Viktor Mnatsakanyan, a former head of Yerevan's Kentron administrative district, is joining the Yerevan mayoral race.
Mnatsakanyan announced a run to become the next mayor of the Armenian capital in a statement on Saturday.
The candidate unveiled his desire to make Yerevan a “safer, more cultural, comfortable, developing and green community.”
The Yerevan municipal elections are scheduled to be held this fall.
“The Yerevan City Council elections will soon be announced and I would like you to wish me and my team of professionals good luck in the upcoming elections, as well as with the difficult, responsible but also extremely pleasant task of realizing our common dreams and urban development plan in this important period for our beautiful Yerevan,” Mnatsakanyan said.
