Pro-government MP claims ZCMC security guard was killed by Azeri soldier
Pro-government lawmaker Narek Ghahramanyan claims that the security guard of the Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine (ZCMC) has been killed by one of the Azerbaijani soldiers who were captured and arrested after crossing into Armenia last week.
The security guard was found dead with gunshot wounds near the ZCMC mobile cabin on 12 April. A double-barreled shotgun has been found during the search of the cabin.
Meanwhile, neither of the Azerbaijani servicemen has yet been charged with the man’s murder amid a lack of evidence.
Ghahramanyan, who represents the ruling Civil Contract party, believes the evidence will soon emerge.
“You should wait for new revelations from law enforcement officers,” the MP said in response to a Hraparak reporter’s remarks.
