Yerevan court orders arrest of Public Voice leader
A fist instance court in Yerevan has ordered the arrest of Public Voice Party leader Artak Galstyan, the Judicial Department reported on Tuesday.
“The Yerevan Criminal Court of General Jurisdiction has granted a motion to arrest Public Voice Party Chairman Artak Galstyan for two months as a measure of restraint,” it said in a statement.
Earlier on Monday, Armenia’s Investigative Committee accused Galstyan and the party’s honorary chairman, Vardan Ghukasyan, better known as Dog, of large-scale extortion and money laundering.
