Armenian border residents facing desperate situation amid Azeri invasion – Tatoyan Foundation
Residents of Tegh, a border village in Armenia’s Syunik Province, have found themselves in a desperate situation in the wake of the Azerbaijani invasion in late March.
Azerbaijani forces advanced up to 300 meters into Armenian territory at five border sections adjacent to the village of Tegh on March 30.
In addition to safety concerns, the local residents cannot use their agricultural lands and pastures which are now under the control of Azerbaijani troops, the Tatoyan Foundation said on Tuesday.
Members of the foundation run by Armenia’s former Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan held meetings with the local residents to hear the people's concerns and record violations of their rights.
“All the evidence collected during the visit is being summed up,” the Tatoyan Foundation said.
It also shared a video of meetings with Tegh residents.
