Political analyst reacts to Pashinyan's statement on violation of November 9 statement
Political analyst Hrant Melik-Shahnazaryan has reacted harshly to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement on the violation of the 9 November 2020 trilateral statement.
At a cabinet meeting on Thursday, Pashinyan said essentially all points of the trilateral declaration had been violated since November 9.
"He is lying because not all points have been violated. Moreover, some clauses have been over-fulfilled,” the analyst wrote on Facebook on Thursday.
“For instance, point 2 of this statement on the handover of Akna to Azerbaijan has been over-fulfilled. By ceding the Karvachar and Kashatagh regions to the enemy, point 6 of the statement has been fulfilled and over-fulfilled.
“The Armenian side has over-fulfilled point 1 of this statement, withdrawing troops even from the territories that are not mentioned in the statement. And now he announces that all points have been violated.
“The question is how it is possible that all the anti-Armenian points have been fulfilled and over-fulfilled, while the even slightly pro-Armenian points have been violated. It could have happened only in one case – if Yerevan and Baku had acted in unison. And that is exactly what happened,” Melik-Shahnazaryan stated.
