French FM pays tribute to Armenian Genocide victims in Yerevan
French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Catherine Colonna on Thursday visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial in Yerevan to pay her respects to the Armenian Genocide victims, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.
“At the end of the visit, Catherine Colonna watered the tree planted by President of France Emmanuel Macron,” the ministry said.
The French foreign minister is expected to meet with her Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan on Friday. The meeting will be followed by a joint news conference.
Colonna visited Yerevan as part of her regional tour on Thursday.
