Armenia's Maria Gevorgyan finishes 3rd in Abu Dhabi tournament
Armenian WIM Maria Gevorgyan scored 7.5 points out of 9 and took the 3rd place in the 5th Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy Blitz Chess Tournament held in Abu Dhabi, the Armenian Chess Federation said on Sunday.
Earlier, Armenia’s Shant Sargsyan scored 7.5 points out of 9 possible in the Kazakhstan Chess Cup and shared the 1st-2nd places. With extra indications, Shant came in second.
Samvel Ter-Sahakyan from Armenia also participated in the tournament and scored 6.5 points, the federation said.
