Russian gas supply to Armenia suspended for planned maintenance
Russia on Monday suspended natural gas supplies to Armenia for four days to carry out planned maintenance on a major gas pipeline, Gazprom Armenia said in a statement.
It said it was temporarily halting gas supplies from 8 a.m. local time on Monday until 8 p.m. on Thursday due to maintenance being carried out on a section of the North Caucasus-Transcaucasia gas pipeline in Russia's southern Stavropol region.
Gazprom Armenia, a subsidiary of Russia's gas giant Gazprom, said that it would use domestic reserves to continue supplying gas to consumers in Armenia.
