'Traitor!' as a sign of pure values
I wanted to write about it a few days ago, and, all of a sudden, Nikol Pashinyan says this exact thing, as if he had read the titles in my notebooks.
Speaking in the Armenian National Assembly on Tuesday, Nikol said that he was no longer afraid of being branded a “traitor”, because he had been called it “multiple times”.
But who would call him a traitor to scare him? And what should someone who is constantly called a “traitor” do to stop being called a “traitor”? Yes, he has to pretend as if he does not care about it, as if it is a waste of energy and does not affect the addressee.
Even if it the case, and Pashinyan, Avinyan the others are not afraid and ashamed of it, it does not matter – you should call a spade a spade.
Calling a traitor a “traitor” is the least, but also the most effective thing you can say and do. Do you feel the sense of rightness that comes whenever someone shouts "Traitor!" to them?
So, it should be continued and we should not fall for Pashinyan's tricks when he claims that, “I am not afraid of being called a traitor."
We should call things by their proper names so that we can get them back the way they used to be. And to call a traitor a traitor, and not just think about it ... means to say and, at the same time, to put into practice what was said.
How long have we been searching for the people who would speak out and act? Everyone can be this person and return both to the path leading to pure values and to reject their own cowardice by speaking up. Whether they will be afraid or not does not matter.
It is necessary to repeat everything that has been successful. Calling a traitor a “traitor” is the easiest of these things.
If Pashinyan punishes the caller, that means he is afraid. If he does not punish them, all the more reason why to call them so, because it makes things easier.
And what is Pashinyan going to do when from the rostrum of the National Assembly he speaks about the parameters of his Civil Contract party and claims that he is not afraid of being a “traitor”? ... He is going to do a lot of things, 11 thousand things.
