NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia Javier Colomina has welcomed the U.S.-hosted talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan this week.
“Good to hear that tangible progress towards a durable peace agreement were made in Washington after 4 days of constructive engagement between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” Colomina said in a tweet on May 6.
“Negotiations and dialogue is the only way. NATO supports the normalisation of relations between our two partners Armenia and Azerbaijan,” he added.
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov held the latest round of negotiations from Monday to Thursday.
