Yerkrapah Union leader: Shushi and Hadrut must be liberated
Yerkrapah Day (Homeland Defender's Day) is celebrated in Armenia annually on May 8. On the occasion of the holiday, officials visit the Yerablur Military Pantheon in Yerevan to pay tribute to fallen troops.
Chairman of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union Sasun Mikayelyan congratulated Armenians on Yerkrapah Day as he spoke to reporters in the military cemetery.
He refused to answer any political questions. Asked whether the Azerbaijani-occupied Shushi and Hadrut regions of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) will be liberated, the politician said: “They must be liberated. Deeds not words are needed for it.”
Mikayelyan is also an MP representing the ruling Civil Contract party.
