Ombudsman: Azerbaijan obstructs activities of Red Cross in Artsakh
Azerbaijan has been hindering the transfer of severely ill patients from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to Armenia facilitated by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) after setting up a checkpoint in the Lachin Corridor on April 23, Artsakh’s Ombudsman Gegham Stepanyan said on Wednesday.
“After setting up a checkpoint, Azerbaijan obstructs the activities of the Red Cross in Artsakh in every possible way," he tweeted.
"For 11 days now, the ICRC has been unable to transport patients in critical health conditions to medical facilities in Armenia,” Stepanyan said.
